Major Renovation
2016-2017
Designer | Jacques Lambert
Two homes. One family. One bond.
The owner chose this house because it was right next to his father’s. Not as an investment, not to impress. Simply to be close. Today, a small path links the two properties. Children move from one yard to the other. Generations cross paths. It’s a shared place of life — unpretentious, but filled with heart.
The house was almost entirely transformed, but starting from scratch was never the intention. Keeping the original frame, limiting demolitions, and weaving new volumes into what already existed was both an aesthetic and ecological choice. It gives meaning to the project. Everything was reimagined, yet the soul of the house remained.
The designer we worked with here was a true creator. He sketched his ideas on site, by hand, in a notebook. And what he laid on paper became reality — down to the very detail. The fireplace became the central feature: suspended, lightened, and integrated into a completely reimagined roof structure. A remarkable piece of craftsmanship, without being showy.
Inside and out, the house breathes tranquility. Wood is ever-present, openings are wide, and spaces are thoughtfully designed. And in the yard, a small glass shed was transformed into a “man cave” — a private retreat, set just beside the pool. Simple, yet perfect.
Excellent team, excellent service, truly reliable!
